This summer, why not join a small group learning the basics of guitar playing at our cool music studio?
There are weekly sessions for children and adults, and it’s a flexible session rather than a formal course. No previous knowledge is required, but you’ll need reasonable finger control.
What you will learn
Co-ordinate left and right hands and improve strength
Learn some easy chords for electric and acoustic guitar
Play and sing songs in a group
Know how to use amplifiers and effects for different sounds
Understand how electric guitar is used in a rock band
Sessions Available
There are two separate sessions on a Wednesday morning through the summer holidays. All instruments and equipment are provided at Stayfree Music.
10.30 – 11.15am – Ages 9-14
11.30 – 12.15am – Age 15+
Prices
The price is £15 for a 45-minute lesson, with a discount if two or more from the same family are learning together.
Parents/carers can learn alongside their children in either group, and older adult learners are welcome in the 11.30 group.
If demand is high, we may also be able to run a third group or continue the sessions for adults and home-educated children after the summer.
We are on the A50 just next to Lock 42 on the Grand Union Canal. Our entrance is at the back of the building.
There is a yard for parking. Its informal but please avoid parking in front of our neighbours shutters as they do require 24 hours access. If you are unsure where to park the receptionist will be able to tell you.
If you put our post code into SatNavs, it often takes you to Slater Street – which is opposite. We recommend using Google Maps and searching for directions to ‘Stayfree Music’
If you are having an difficulty finding us, please call us and the receptionist can give you directions and guide you in.
